learnd delivers a high-specification BMS as part of a redevelopment project by the University of Manchester.

The BMS will serve the new Executive Education Centre, which forms part of the University’s Manchester Business School (MBS), which is one the largest of its type in the UK.

Established in 1965 as one of the UK’s first business schools, the facility at the University of Manchester is used by over 6,500 students globally and served by more than 500 academic, teaching and support staff.

The MBS redevelopment project will create a new hotel, Executive Education Centre and redeveloped school buildings that enable MBS to co-locate on one side of Oxford Road in the strategically important corridor. Constructed over two storeys, the Executive Education Centre will provide a home for MBS’s corporate leadership and management programmes.

Liverpool-based A&B Engineering Ltd was appointed as the main MEP contractor for the Executive Education Centre, which in turn enlisted the help of learnd, the industry’s leading expert in energy management, to specify and install the ideal BMS for this landmark building.

We selected learnd for a number of reasons, not least their tender performance, keenness to do the project and the opportunity for both businesses to develop a working relationship
